Automated Clearing House (ACH)

An Automated Clearing House (ACH) payment is an electronic deposit to or withdrawal from your account, such as a directly deposited payroll check or bill payment. It is an electronic network, known as an Automated Clearing House, that sends and receives those transactions.  

To cancel an Automated Clearing House (ACH) payment you've authorized a third-party to make from your checking and/or savings account, first call the Customer Relationship Center at 888.662.4722 and supply your information to one of the representatives. This will allow our representative to put a temporary hold on the transaction. Next complete and submit the Written Statement of Unauthorized Debit Automated Clearing House (ACH) Transaction - Consumer ("ACH Stop Payment Form") form. To expedite your request, please return the completed form by fax to HSBC Bank USA, N.A. (212.382.5967). If you are unable to fax your request, you can mail your completed form to the following address. Please allow 5 business days for post office delivery.
