The Registration Process

Complete the Supplier Registration Form.

Your application will be entered in our supplier database.

When a sourcing event is initiated that your company could potentially fit, your supplier application will be given consideration for the current and/or future opportunity.
If you are an incumbent supplier and wish to update your profile including your Products and Services on the Registration Form, click Registration (http://hsbc.aecglobal.com) and login with your ID and Password and click Update.
Supplier Evaluation and Selection
Supplier relationships are established through a fair and competitive selection process. This process is designed to ensure optimum quality, service, and value for HSBC and its customers.
These are the selection process steps HSBC uses to establish supplier relationships:
Phase I: Opportunity Assessment

HSBC identifies a business need

HSBC develops the requirements definition

HSBC performs a market analysis

HSBC determines sourcing strategy
Phase II: Solicitation/Preliminary Evaluation of Supplier Proposals

HSBC develops the supplier list
-
HSBC develops a RFx (Request for Proposal, Request for Quotation or Bid)

HSBC issues RFx, including HSBC's standard contract terms, to invited suppliers
-
Supplier prepares and submits proposal in compliance with HSBC contract terms
-
HSBC receives and evaluates supplier proposals
-
HSBC develops short list
Phase III: Selection and Award

HSBC performs due diligence and preliminary negotiation (this may include supplier presentation and/or visit to supplier's site)

HSBC finalizes and documents negotiated business and legal terms (contract)
-
HSBC conducts internal recommendation and review
-
HSBC approves final contract transaction and submits to supplier for acceptance
-
HSBC and supplier execute mutually agreed upon contract document, and award is made
-
HSBC and supplier implement executed contract
Phase IV: Contract Management

Delivery of products or services is managed to contract terms
-
Relationship is continuously evaluated throughout term of contract.
