These relationships are based on the principle of fair and honest dealings at all times, and we expect suppliers to extend that same principle to their customers and employees. We expect suppliers to respect our ethical standards and apply the context in their own environment and culture.
If you are a diverse supplier, our supplier diversity program provides competitively positioned diverse and minority-owned businesses an equal footing to compete as suppliers to HSBC. We, in turn, benefit by the increased cost-effectiveness and diversity in the products, services and supply options available to us. If you are a non-diverse supplier, the expectation is that you will use 2nd Tier support in a portion of the contract from a diverse vendor.
Participation in the HSBC Vendor Registration does not confer any approval, guarantee or pre-qualification status to any supplier. The award of any business by HSBC will follow established procedures for bidding, evaluation, negotiation and contracting.
