HSBC Announces 11th New Branch Opening in Connecticut
28 October 2008
New York – HSBC BANK USA , N.A will hold a grand opening ceremony commemorating its 11th branch opening in the state of Connecticut today. The new branch, which officially opened to the public on September 15, 2008, is located at 108 Danbury Road in Ridgefield. It features state-of-the-art design, including private consultation offices, ample parking and Saturday hours. More importantly, the branch will offer dedicated customer-facing staff, including a Premier Relationship Manager, an HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. Financial Advisor, business relationship manager and a mortgage representative.
According to John Walonski, branch manager, “Our goal is to provide our customers with the best possible personal and commercial banking experience.” “And, as the ‘world’s local bank, we always look for ways to best partner with and support the needs of those communities in which we operate.”
The Grand Opening ceremony will include a $10,000 check presentation to the Ridgefield Public Library to support a children’s author series, featuring authors from Connecticut’s “Nutmeg Book Awards” program. The program encourages children to read quality literature and allows those in grades 4-8 to choose their favorite book, after reading ten titles, selected by a panel of Connecticut librarians.
“We are very excited to be able to offer our younger library members the opportunity to meet and interact with those authors whom they find most intriguing,” said Geri Diorio of the Ridgefield Library. “HSBC’s generous donation will enable these young people to hear from literary luminaries who can perhaps inspire our future writers to blossom.”
The new Ridgefield branch furthers HSBC’s expansion efforts in Connecticut. In the past two years, HSBC has opened branches in Stamford, Darien, Norwalk, Westport, Fairfield, Monroe, Wilton and Shelton.
