HSBC - North America Announces Board of Directors Appointment

Prospect Heights, Ill.–HSBC North America Holdings Inc. today announced the appointment of Beatriz R. Perez to its board of directors.
Perez is senior vice president of Integrated Marketing for the North America group of The Coca-Cola Company, the world’s largest non-alcoholic beverage company. Recently promoted in April 2007, Perez is responsible for planning and investment decisions associated with the company’s annual media plans, programming (promotions), interactive marketing and packaging. She also oversees Coca-Cola’s national sports and entertainment partnerships. Perez joined The Coca-Cola Company in 1996. She worked from 1996 to 2005 as associate brand manager for Classic Coke, manager of sports marketing and NASCAR, and then as vice president of sports and entertainment.
Before joining Coca-Cola, Perez worked for DMB&B/Sosa, Bromley, Aguilar, Noble & Associates, where she was an account supervisor focusing primarily on Coca-Cola initiatives from 1994 to 1996.

Perez sits on a number of boards for community service organizations, including Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, The Victory Junction Gang Camp (NASCAR-funded Hole in the Wall Camps) and The Grammy Foundation.
Perez earned her bachelor's degree in marketing from the University of Maryland.
