Beneficial Announces Three Consumer Lending Branch Openings in Mississippi

PROSPECT HEIGHTS, Ill. - Beneficial Mississippi Inc., an indirect subsidiary of HSBC North America Holdings Inc., today announced the opening of three consumer lending branches in the state. Beneficial offers customers mortgage refinance loans, home equity loans, personal loans and auto refinance loans.

"At a time when many mortgage lenders are discontinuing their brick and mortar branch operations, Beneficial is distinctly positioned to expand our presence with three new offices in Flowood, Southaven and Tupelo," said Tom Detelich, president of the consumer and mortgage lending division of HSBC Finance Corporation.

Beneficial sets itself apart from other consumer lenders by offering personalized, one-on-one service in neighborhood locations across the country. HSBC - North America operates more than 1,350 branches in 47 states in the U.S.

Nathan Darst, division general manager for the Mississippi branches, said local account executives will share news of the popular Pay Right Rewards Program with homeowners. "Many of our mortgage refinance and home equity loans feature a rate reduction program. When a customer makes on-time payments, he or she could receive up to 4 percent in rate reductions over the life of the loan."

As part of the grand opening activities, Beneficial presented New Neighbor Awards of $1,000 each to the following agencies: Junior Achievement of Mississippi, United Way of the Mid-South and United Way of Northeast Mississippi.
