HSBC Investments Adds Personnel

HSBC Investments (USA) Inc. today announced that William McKinzie and Lynn Sandt have joined as senior vice president and vice president respectively, reporting to Bruce Pflug, managing director and head of institutional business development. McKinzie has joined the institutional sales team covering the US mid-states as well as insurance and insurance-related clients broadly. He is based in Chicago. Sandt, who is based in New York, is responsible for the promotion and support of cross-border sales for the investment products produced in the US for institutional investors across HSBC worldwide. In this newly created role, she will work with sales teams and portfolio managers on global sales planning and product development.

McKinzie joined HSBC Investments from Westport Worldwide where he co-founded the Chicago office and specialized in post-retirement liability funding strategies utilizing insurance product as well as investment manager selection. Previously, he directed sales in the insurance channel, including Bermuda, for Credit Suisse Asset Management. His career started in banking and encompassed leveraged buyouts and loan workout. McKinzie is a member of the International Insurance Society and received a JD from Indiana University School of Law at Bloomington and a bachelor's in finance from the University Of Illinois College Of Business at Urbana-Champaign.
Lynn joined HSBC Investments from Credit Suisse Asset Management where she spent more than six years as an institutional sales and relationship management professional focusing on Latin America business development. Before that, Lynn was a relationship manager in international private banking for Latin America at Barclays. Lynn received a master's in Business Administration in investment management at Pace University and holds a bachelor's in Spanish from Montclair State College.
