HSBC Promotes Thomas Del Zoppo to Head of Cash Equities for the Americas

HSBC today announced it has promoted Thomas Del Zoppo to head of cash equities for the Americas. In this newly created role, Del Zoppo is responsible for managing HSBC's equity sales, sales trading, trading and execution activities across the Americas. He reports to Joseph Belfatto, head of global markets for the Americas, and Simon Brookhouse, global head of equities.

Del Zoppo joined HSBC in May 2004 as head of equity sales. Prior to this, he was at JPMorgan where he was head of equity sales trading.
