HSBC opens its first Washington D.C. Branch

New York, NY, November 4, 2004 – HSBC Bank USA, N.A. has opened its first branch in Washington DC at 1130 Connecticut Avenue, NW, Suite 310.  The branch is scheduled to move to its permanent, street-level location at the same address on Monday, December 6, 2004.

Recently named “World’s Best Consumer Bank” by Global Finance Magazine, HSBC Bank USA is the nation’s 8th largest bank by deposits. In addition to its new branch in the District of Columbia, HSBC has nearly 400 branches in New York State, as well as branches in Florida, California, Oregon, Washington State and Delaware.

In December, when the street level branch opens, amenities will expand to include 24-hour ATM, safe-deposit boxes, and a night depository. In addition, the branch will then be open seven days a week.  

Until that time, HSBC offers a full range of personal and commercial banking services in Suite 310, Monday – Friday, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
