Household's Retail Services employees to partner with Walter Bracken Magnet School in day of painting and beautifying school grounds
Household also to present $20,000 grant to School
| WHAT: | Instead of golfing, going to the spa or gambling as a part of their annual national conference, more than 150 of Household's retail services employees will volunteer an afternoon to paint and enhance the educational atmosphere of Walter Bracken Magnet school on Thursday, February 19, 2004.
Retail Services is a business unit of Household International, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of HSBC Holdings plc. Household will be providing a total of 600 volunteer hours to Walter Bracken Magnet School, along with a $20,000 grant to underwrite the costs associated with the project.
This is the second year that Household has partnered with the Clark County School District to improve school grounds and the learning environment for the children in that district. Last year, Household employees teamed up to paint the exterior of Tom Williams Elementary School in North Las Vegas.
