Household International Declares Regular Dividend

Prospect Heights, IL - January 28, 2003 - Household International, Inc. (NYSE: HI) announced today that its board of directors declared the regular semi-annual cash dividend on the company's $4.30 Cumulative Preferred Stock of $2.15 per share payable March 31, 2003 to shareholders of record on February 28, 2003.
