Employee Giving Opportunities
Employees are encouraged to engage with the communities in which we do business. HSBC supports employee involvement efforts on behalf of youth academic education and the environment.
Matching Gifts: HSBC matches employee contributions of $25 or more to eligible nonprofit organizations, up to $5,000 per employee per year. Qualifying gifts supporting higher education may be eligible for a 2-to-1 match, up to the first $500 per year.
United for Hope: HSBC's United for Hope employee giving program has been recognized by several organizations as one of the most benevolent workplace giving opportunities in the United States. Thanks to the wonderful generosity of HSBC employees, we are helping to improve the lives of thousands in need through the valuable services provided by our United for Hope partners.
United for Hope encourages personal giving through payroll deduction, which combines employee contributions and creates a greater impact in our communities. Employees may support a United Way in their community or one of ten national non-profit organizations, such as the World Wildlife Federation, the American Cancer Society and others.
Volunteer Incentive Plan: We support community involvement by our employees by providing a $150-$350 donation to qualified nonprofit organizations where an employee volunteers. We may also support the efforts of groups of employees who volunteer together by providing funds for specific projects focused on the environment with a maximum of $5,000 per project.
